LEAP Regulatory Assessment
This report, authored by WCG and FHI 360, is intended to provide both strategic analysis and technical guidance to donors, implementing organizations and hormonal IUD suppliers on pathways to increase national approvals of hormonal IUD product(s). The primary focus of the assessment was on hormonal IUD products that 1) currently have approval from a Stringent Regulatory Authority (SRA); and 2) are currently offered at an affordable public sector price in FP2020 markets. Hormonal IUD Learning Site Visits: Expanding Contraceptive Method Choice in Kenya
This report summarizes, a 2-day experiential learning site visit organized to Kisumu county to learn more about recent experiences with hormonal IUS provision in public sector settings. The site visit provided an opportunity for the national Ministry of Health, county governments and implementing partners to learn from field experiences and have an open exchange of ideas, knowledge, and implementation strategies for comprehensive FP/LARC services, including the hormonal IUS. This initiative was co-coordinated between Envision FP and MCSP.

Evidence from Clinical Trial Data Addressing Common Misconceptions about the Hormonal IUD
Secondary analysis of the data collected through the ACCESS IUS trial, conducted by Medicines360, indicates that rigorous clinical trial data could adequately address common misconceptions about the hormonal IUD, which may be barriers to method use. These slides, originally presented at ICFP 2022, share user outcomes from the trial.

Cost Effectiveness Analysis of Including Hormonal IUD in the Contraceptive Method Mix in Nigeria and Zambia: Summary of Results
This analysis estimates the incremental cost-effectiveness of the hormonal IUD compared to other contraceptive methods available in Nigeria and Zambia over a 5-year and 10-year period. Separate models were built for Nigeria and Zambia reflecting the different service delivery contexts, contraceptive prevalence, and current method mix. Costs were estimated from the perspective of the health system as well as from the societal perspective.
